2024 Vermeer® Pile Drivers PD5R
The solar industry continues to surge, and your installation operations can’t be slowed down. You need a machine that moves agilely around the jobsite, installing piles efficiently and helping make your crew more productive to get the job done right. The new Vermeer PD5R pile driver can help deliver this efficiency to your operations. Offering a solar solution for a light weight, remote-controlled pile driver, the PD5R brings the power and reliability of the Vermeer pile driver lineup to a small machine that can move from pile to pile accurately and efficiently. The PD5R is ideal for smaller installs, or on more congested jobsites, when maneuvering the machine around needs to be done quickly and with less time spent setting up and tearing down. With a mast that can remain fully assembled and stowed parallel with the tracks, and a rotating platform, transporting this machine can be done with less time and less hassle. The PD5R pile driver is a solar solution to help you drive more efficiently.
Features may include:
Take control- With a wireless remote, crews can operate the PD5R and gain visibility around the machine, while controlling most machine functions like hammer engagement, pile accuracy, auto plumb and ground drive, all while remaining out of an operator’s seat during installation.
Efficient setup and teardown- Setup and teardown are quick and convenient with a rotating platform and a mast that can stay fully assembled and stow parallel with the tracks, making it convenient for the entire crew to move to the next job.
Keep it light- The PD5R weighs in at 10,330 lb (4685.6 kg), which allows for transporting up to two pile drivers on select trailers, and less potential damage to jobsites, all while helping increase efficiency of setup and teardown with a lightweight design.
Transportation ease- A small machine with a transport width of 85" (215.9 cm), a transport height of 98” (248.9 cm) and a transport length of 11.7’ (3.6 m) allows more than one machine to be hauled on certain trailers.
Move along- With a forward ground drive speed of 2.4 mph (3.9 km/h), move quickly with less time spent traveling and more time installing piles, helping to keep your installation efficiently moving forward.
